Anderson Island Living Blog

Anderson Island has a long and rich history of which I am happy to be part of for the past 7 years.

I moved to Anderson Island on December 1, 2000, from Lakewood. I stumbled across the ferry dock one day while riding my bicycle. I took a look at the ferry schedule and decided to go for a ride on the ferry and ride my bike around the island. Wow! I was in Heaven.

Weeks later, I had a client come to my office and apply for a home loan….and guess what? He was buying a home on Anderson Island. I could not believe the price of the home he was purchasing and the thought of living on an island intrigued me enough to go looking for a home.

Long story, short…I purchased a home and later sold it after Eric and I met and now we have a home on 5 acres along with all our animals….18 chickens, 5 turkeys, 3 cats and 2 dogs. Life is good.
